Twitter
I am starting to let the students take over my twitter account every once in a while to pass along their important messages into the world of social media. This supports our discussions about being a responsible digital citizen. They are learning about the importance of being respectful not only during face-to-face interactions but online as well.
Social media is very powerful and if used properly it can be a wonderful tool.
I would like to invite parents to join twitter and join our classroom discussions. We will post our learning goals throughout the week. Please feel free to tweet and reply to our discussions so that we have more examples of different ways of thinking and learning.
Yesterday we were looking at arrays and talking about how they help us determine how much is being represented in a set. We invite you to take pictures when you are out in the community (at hockey games, dance, the grocery store, at the park) anywhere that you see something that connects to our learning in the classroom.
When you tweet include our classroom handle @mzmousseau and we will incorporate the tweets in our learning. This is a great way to make real world connections to our learning goals.
Thank you for your support! If you have any questions please feel free to ask.
