Carp Fair

A very exciting time of year is quickly approaching. The students are welcome to create an entry that the school will submit on their behalf to the Carp Fair. Below is a list of ideas for grade 3 and grade 4. This will be a home based activity, if your child wishes to participate, please return the finished product to school by September 22nd. 

Grade 3:

- Draw a pencil crayon picture of a farm, include at least 3 different farm animals.

- Create a homemade invitation to a Halloween party.

- Compare modern farming machinery with farming machinery from pioneer days (Venn diagram, T-chart, can be done on a computer) 8 1/2 by 11" paper

Grade 4

- Build a Castle using mainly recycled cardboard items (boxes, paper rolls/tubes, etc.) Can be decorated with paint, markers, foil, etc. Max size 18"x18"x18"

- Create a recycled necklace- use pages from catalogues and magazines- tear paper into stirps (roll over toothpicks and glue ends to form 'beads') once beads are dried string them

- Wrapping paper for any occasion. Create a pattern design using a minimum of 3 attributes and repeat the pattern 5 times to a max 18"x24"
