Solar Roadways
We watched this video yesterday in class and discussed all the positive and negative effects that this invention could have on society. They were very interested and participated in a rich discussion.
The video is entitled "Solar Freakin Roadways". We had a discussion prior to watching the video about the word 'freakin'. The students came up with a list of words that 'freakin' was trying to replace (cool, amazing, wonderful). We discussed possible reasons why the narrator used this particular word and the targeted audience. They decided that the audience would be kids, teens, and young adults. They decided that the 'emotional interlude' would persuade the Prime Minister or the President.
