Mine Craft Club
I have been asked by a few students to start a mine craft club. We met to discuss the learning objectives and how we can connect the use of mine craft to our learning. The students made a list to outline the learning objectives:
- structures
- architecture
- team work
- imagination
- collaboration
- designing houses
- farming
- adding
- measurement
- length
- procedural writing
- area
- perimeter
- problem solving
- planning
We will be meeting on Wednesdays for our mine craft club. We have made a few videos so far which will soon be added to my YouTube channel. The students are expected to come to the mine craft club with an idea of what learning area they will be focusing on that day.
Students are asked to bring their own devices to play on. If this is not possible, please send your child to school with their username and password to log into minecraft.net. Perhaps they can write it in their agenda so they do not forget.
The students understand that the mine craft club is for educational purposes and that they are expected to play in creative mode or peaceful mode.
Check the YouTube Channel for mine craft updates!
