Writing Contest

I have been given information for a writing contest. This is completely voluntary. Here is some information about the contest. 

My name is Nikki Mosca. I am one of the producers of a new interactive children’s web series called Maggins Mysteries that is being developed in Ottawa. We have produced a trailer that introduces our first mystery. “Sasquatch in Shady Falls”.

We are launching the trailer with a writing contest. We would like young writers (7-12) to watch the trailer on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bn8_g-gsnAU and write about how they would end this mystery. 

Through our web series we would like to promote education, literacy and community. We want to encourage kids to take what they see in the two-minute video and use their imaginations to expand and direct the story. We can’t wait to see the wide range of story lines they come up with! There will be prizes awarded and the winning stories will be posted on our website.

Please feel free to enter the contest. You would be responsible to submit the story by email to nikki@goferproductions.com. The stories are due by March 31st. The students can use their Google drive account to write the stories. If they choose to write the story I (Ms.Mousseau) would love to read them, please have them share their Google Document with me.
