Homework

This weeks homework is about measurement. We are currently exploring different aspects of measurement. 

- Length 

- Mass

- Capacity

- Area

- Perimeter 

We are working in our math learning stations to compare various forms of measurement. Our expectations are:

- estimate, measure, and record length, height, and distance using standard units (i.e., centimeter, meter, kilometer)

- estimate,, measure, and record the perimeter of two-dimensional shapes, through investigation using standard units

- estimate, measure, and record area (using centimeter grid paper)

- estimate, measure, and record the capacity of containers using the standard unit of the liter or parts of a liter

- compare and order objects on the basis of linear measurements in centimeters and/or meters (e.g., compare a 3 cm object with a 5 cm object; order measurements 50 cm, 1 m, 150 cm)
