Descriptive Writing

We have started our descriptive writing unit just in time for Halloween! This weeks challenge will have the students writing a descriptive paragraph about a jack-o-lantern. The students will be writing their paragraphs using descriptive words to help the reader visualize their writing. The student with the most descriptive paragraph will challenge Mr. Kealey's artistic skills as he will read the most descriptive paragraph and carve our class pumpkin! I can't wait to see what the students come up with this year. I will post pictures of our class pumpkin so stay tuned!
